I was born in Hong Kong in 1983, but moved to England as a child. My debut pamphlet, A Certain Chinese Encyclopedia, was published in Tall-lighthouse’s Pilot series in 2009. My poems have appeared widely in magazines, in anthologies such as The Salt Book of Younger Poets (2011), and on BBC Radio 3. I very much enjoy performing my work, and have had chance to read at events all over the country − from Scotland’s StAnza, to the Ledbury Poetry Festival, to the Royal Festival Hall. I am currently based at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where I teach Renaissance English literature.
